but you can see

there are no strings on me.

Originally from small town east Texas, Blair Lampe is a freelance writer, budding guerilla journalist, and junior-slueth cultural anthropologist based in New York City.  But in order to pay rent, she works as a ground mechanic for a large global airline.  This affords her a very special opportunity to travel cheaply to a dizzying variety of places while also remaining very poor. Luckily, her complete lack of financial backing allows her to do and write as she pleases.  She has no pets and spends an inordinate amount of time struggling to keep her cactus plant alive.  And I mean, c’mon.  It’s a cactus.  That’s just inexcusable.
